Where is the Heritage Corridor?
The Heritage Corridor Convention and Visitors Bureau (CVB) encompasses the communities and counties along the historic 97-mile Illinois and Michigan Canal National Heritage Corridor. The Heritage Corridor spans from the Chicago Portage Area just southwest of Chicago to LaSalle-Peru including the counties of Will, Grundy, LaSalle and Putnam. The region conveniently located along I-55 from Chicago to Joliet along I-80 west to LaSalle-Peru.

Celebrate 15 Years with August Hill Winery

August Hill Winery & Illinois Sparkling Co. in Utica, IL wants you to help them celebrate their 15-year anniversary all month long! 

Here are some of the ways they are commemorating the special occasion this week: 


Wine on the Hill – June 6, 1-5pm

This Saturday, enjoy the beautiful scenery of the Illinois Valley, while you listen to live music by The Steve Sharp Band from 1:30-4:30 PM, and enjoying a bottle of August Hill or ISC wine on the hill. 

Parking will be limited, so tickets will be required and are $20 each. With every purchase of a ticket, you get 1 reserved parking spot, limited to 1 car only with 6 people max. Also, your per-ordered wine bottle properly chilled for you to enjoy. Pre-order your wine by Friday, June 5th at 3 PM. 

Stone Jug BBQ will be offering delivery to this event, so be sure to call and order your delicious meals ahead of time to enjoy the day of. 

This venue is a large grassy area, so social distancing will be taking place. Seating will be a minimum of 6 feet away from other parties and the walkway. 


Augie’s Blackberry Magnums

August Hill Winery has created special 1.5L bottles of blackberry deliciousness to share with all of you! It is a fruit-forward port style wine made from blackberries. 

For those who have pre-ordered a bottle, they are now available for pick-up. There are only 96 made, so each customer is limited to 1. 


Patio Opening on Friday

Come enjoy a nice glass of wine on the outdoor patio space in front of the Tasting Room beginning this Friday, June 5, 11:00 AM – 5:00 PM daily. Seating will be limited, so they are asking guest to stay 90 minutes or less.
