Where is the Heritage Corridor?
The Heritage Corridor Convention and Visitors Bureau (CVB) encompasses the communities and counties along the historic 97-mile Illinois and Michigan Canal National Heritage Corridor. The Heritage Corridor spans from the Chicago Portage Area just southwest of Chicago to LaSalle-Peru including the counties of Will, Grundy, LaSalle and Putnam. The region conveniently located along I-55 from Chicago to Joliet along I-80 west to LaSalle-Peru.

Catlin's 333 acres host 14 distinct trails plus numerous connector trails which course through the park's habitat, past various streams and ponds. The well-groomed trails are perfect for novice horses or riders, et challenging enough for more seasoned riders. Adjacent to a 120x160-foot horse arena is an obstacle course used by the LaSalle County Sheriff's Mounted Search and Rescue Posse. The horse trails are recognized as some of the best in the central area. The trails are used by horseback riders, hikers, joggers, birdwatchers, bike riders, and photographers.

Catlin Park features picnic shelters, tables, grills, hiking, bicycling, horseback trails, a horse arena, a softball field, restrooms, outdoor recreation areas and abundant wildlife.

Park hours are 9:00am- 7:00pm Daily; open May 1 through October 31.
