Catlin Park is a county park located in LaSalle County, Illinois. Catlin Park has 333 acres and is home to 14 distinct trails plus numerous connector trails. These trails course throughout the park’s habitat, including its various streams and ponds. The park’s horse trails are perfect for the novice horse riders and challenging enough for the more seasoned riders. The horse trails are recognized as some of the best in the Chicagoland area. The park is also home to an obstacle course that is used by the LaSalle County Sheriff’s Mounted Search and Rescue team. Outdoor recreation enthusiasts such as hikers, birdwatchers, bikers, joggers and nature photographers will enjoy the natural beauty along the trails. Catlin Park is a free park that is open to the public and features picnic shelters and an abundance of wildlife.
