Where is the Heritage Corridor?
The Heritage Corridor Convention and Visitors Bureau (CVB) encompasses the communities and counties along the historic 97-mile Illinois and Michigan Canal National Heritage Corridor. The Heritage Corridor spans from the Chicago Portage Area just southwest of Chicago to LaSalle-Peru including the counties of Will, Grundy, LaSalle and Putnam. The region conveniently located along I-55 from Chicago to Joliet along I-80 west to LaSalle-Peru.

NASCAR Weekend in Joliet ... Tales of the Turtles 400

The NASCAR Playoffs start in Joliet at September's Tales of the Turtles 400.  Fast speeds will be going on Chicagoland Speedway all weekend with an exciting weekend of racing.

Wednesday Night (September 13) - Race Fan Rally
5pm Start Time

The party begins in Downtown Joliet on Wednesday, September 13.  Race Fan Rally includes live music entertainment, vendors, beer tents, driver appearances, a Racecar Simulator, show cars, ARCA haulers showcased and drivers on stage interviews and autograph sessions.

• 5 pm kickoff with entertainment from the M&R Rush on the main stage.
• Huge fireworks display closes out Race Fan Rally at 10 pm.
• Plenty of parking in decks and in parking lots nearby.

Don't miss the fun with Hawk Auto, Chicagoland Speedway, Team Stradale, Venturini Motorsports with Natalie Decker & Musselman’s, Raimondi Racing Collectibles, Rhoad’s Racing Simulator, Michael Mucha Racing, Midget Cars, Mini Cup Cars, Classic Cars & other show cars.

Midland States Bank will be giving away 1,000 free fireworks glasses to make the night's fireworks even better!

Hungry?  The food trucks will be out, including BLee’s Smokin Delicious, Cemeno’s Pizza, Creative ConeCepts, Kernel Sweetooth, Little Red Donut Truck, Nothing Bundt Cakes, Smokin’ Z, Soulicious, Tacos Maui.  Also on site will be IL Army National Guard, Chiro One, Gji’s Sweet Shoppe, Chuck E. Cheese, Party Hoppers, ComEd, Joliet Slammers and the City of Joliet.


Thursday (September 14) - ARCA Racing Series Scott 150
Green Flag at 2pm

The ARCA Racing Series returns to Chicagoland Speedway to kick off four days and nights of racing action on Thursday, Sept. 14! The up-and-comers and wily veterans never disappoint, with a night full of unpredictable action in the SCOTT® 150!

Friday (September 15) - Camping World Truck Series Chicagoland 225
Green Flag at 7:30pm

Chicagoland is the Last Chance Race for the ever-unpredictable Camping World Truck Series as NASCAR's newest stars battle for a final spot in the series' championship playoffs. The trucks return under the lights as part of the Four-Race Weekend on Friday, September 15, 2017. NASCAR's newest stars will try their luck at tackling the tri-oval during an all-out battle. There will surely be fireworks during the race ... and we'll have some afterward, too!

Saturday (September 16) - XFINITY Series Chicagoland 300
Green Flag at 2:30pm

Chicagoland is the Last Chance Race for the NASCAR XFINITY Series stars to punch their ticket to the series' playoffs, which will determine a champion! The drivers of the XFINITY Series will race against some of NASCAR's biggest stars on Saturday, September 16, 2017. This is where history begins as the drivers look to not only capture a championship, but also make their way into the ranks of NASCAR's best. Names Are Made Here.

Sunday, September 17 - Josh Turner Concert
Scheduled for 12:15pm

Country music superstar Josh Turner will be performing for our pre-race concert  presented by BIG 95.5 before the Tales of the Turtles 400 on September 17!  From his 2003 platinum-selling debut Long Black Train to his most recent 2017 Billboard No. 1 release, Deep South, Turner has garnered multiple GRAMMY, CMA, and ACM nominations. Turner’s hits include “Your Man,”and “Time Is Love,” the most played country song of 2012. His most recent hit, “Hometown Girl,” recently reached No. 1 on the country music charts.

Your Tales of the Turtles 400 race ticket gets you grandstand access to the concert, scheduled for 12:15 p.m. in tri-oval grass. A Fan Zone Pit Pass gets you lawn access to be up-close.


Sunday (September 17) - Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series Tales of the Turtles 400

The Heroes In A Half Shell are back for Turtle Power: Round 2! The Tales of the Turtles 400 Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series race features a 40-car field filled with the greatest stock car drivers in the world. They'll take on our 1.5-mile oval as 16 of those racers begin their championship journey... with a little help from the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles!
