Where is the Heritage Corridor?
The Heritage Corridor Convention and Visitors Bureau (CVB) encompasses the communities and counties along the historic 97-mile Illinois and Michigan Canal National Heritage Corridor. The Heritage Corridor spans from the Chicago Portage Area just southwest of Chicago to LaSalle-Peru including the counties of Will, Grundy, LaSalle and Putnam. The region conveniently located along I-55 from Chicago to Joliet along I-80 west to LaSalle-Peru.

Have you ever wondered where the best preserves are to go fishing or what kind of fish you can catch in this area? Join a naturalist for this program to find fishing hot spots and learn about common sport fish of Will County. This program will highlight many of the lakes, streams and rivers of the Forest Preserve District. Learn more about local fishing ordinances and join the discussion with some local fish stories of your own. Isle a la Cache Museum is an accessible facility. Ages 12 or older. Registration required by Thursday, May 16: 815.886.1467.
