Where is the Heritage Corridor?
The Heritage Corridor Convention and Visitors Bureau (CVB) encompasses the communities and counties along the historic 97-mile Illinois and Michigan Canal National Heritage Corridor. The Heritage Corridor spans from the Chicago Portage Area just southwest of Chicago to LaSalle-Peru including the counties of Will, Grundy, LaSalle and Putnam. The region conveniently located along I-55 from Chicago to Joliet along I-80 west to LaSalle-Peru.

There are several dining options at Starved Rock Lodge for you to fuel up before or after a day exploring the natural beauty of Starved Rock State Park. Within the Lodge, you’ll find historic ambiance in their Main Dining Room, where the atmosphere is friendly and casual. The Main Dining Room serves breakfast, lunch and dinner, while offering delicious food, wine, homemade ice cream and dessert. Sunday Brunch is a favorite staple at Starved Rock. The Back Door Lounge is there perfect place for to enjoy your favorite drink will overlooking the amazing view of the Illinois River Valley. Friday nights you can find live music playing here as well. The Veranda is a place where you can take a break from hiking the trails at Starved Rock and dine will basking in the glow of the beautiful scenery around you. The Starved Rock Café is for the early birds and located right near the lobby. The café serves warm scones, breakfast, coffee and lattes. No matter what you are carving after a day of hiking and enjoying the waterfalls and beauty of Starved Rock, good food with a view await you.
