Where is the Heritage Corridor?
The Heritage Corridor Convention and Visitors Bureau (CVB) encompasses the communities and counties along the historic 97-mile Illinois and Michigan Canal National Heritage Corridor. The Heritage Corridor spans from the Chicago Portage Area just southwest of Chicago to LaSalle-Peru including the counties of Will, Grundy, LaSalle and Putnam. The region conveniently located along I-55 from Chicago to Joliet along I-80 west to LaSalle-Peru.

Station 343 is located just off Historic Route 66, Station 343 is the Perfect Combination of Great Food & Great Atmosphere in honor of those who serve.

Station 343 opened in August of 2012 and is the focal point of Historic Main Street in Dwight, IL. Station 343 was named in honor of the 343 Firefighters and Paramedics that lost their lives on September 11th, 2001.

Station 343 establishes the atmosphere of a fire station. Complete with a vintage 1917 Seagrave fire truck that was used by the Pontiac, IL Fire Department. The brick walls, wood floors and rafters are all original to the building originally build in 1881. This historic building was home to many businesses over the years that serviced the many travelers on Historic Route 66. Station 343 is a must see for anyone making the Route 66 Journey.
