10501 W La Porte Rd Mokena, IL

Dates: Jun. 2, 2024
Times: 7am-9am
Location: Hickory Creek Preserve, 10501 W La Porte Rd, Mokena, IL

The early birder gets the birds! Birds are very active in the morning as they wake up and search for food. This makes it a good time to find them. Join us for this guided hike through the open fields, woodlands and creek sides of Hickory Creek Preserve in search of birds. All skill levels are welcome. This is a great way for beginners to find out what birds are in our area and where they might be found.

Fee: Free! Age: Ages 16 and older. Registration is required by Saturday, June 1, by calling 708-946-2216 or online.

Dress to be outside and bring along your favorite field guide and binoculars. The hike may be 1.5 miles to 2 miles long on paved and natural surfaced trails. Anyone who requires an auxiliary aid or service to participate in this program should submit a request online no later than 48 hours before the program.
