Where is the Heritage Corridor?
The Heritage Corridor Convention and Visitors Bureau (CVB) encompasses the communities and counties along the historic 97-mile Illinois and Michigan Canal National Heritage Corridor. The Heritage Corridor spans from the Chicago Portage Area just southwest of Chicago to LaSalle-Peru including the counties of Will, Grundy, LaSalle and Putnam. The region conveniently located along I-55 from Chicago to Joliet along I-80 west to LaSalle-Peru.

Majestic Kids Turkey Trot 5K

On November 3, come out and run for a great cause at the Majestic Kids Turkey Trot 5K! Participants must check in by 9am at the Shrimp Barn (125 West Mondamin Street) in Minooka, and will hit the ground running from there at 10am. The registration fee costs $30 and Friday, Nov. 2 is the last day to register. The 5K is sponsored by The Shrimp Barn.


Majestic Kids is a non-for-profit organization that aims to provide the help needed for foster children to be able to rise to their fullest potential. They organize programs such as the local Royal Family Kids Camp, a year-long mentoring club program, teen retreats, long-term educational support and family care.
