Where is the Heritage Corridor?
The Heritage Corridor Convention and Visitors Bureau (CVB) encompasses the communities and counties along the historic 97-mile Illinois and Michigan Canal National Heritage Corridor. The Heritage Corridor spans from the Chicago Portage Area just southwest of Chicago to LaSalle-Peru including the counties of Will, Grundy, LaSalle and Putnam. The region conveniently located along I-55 from Chicago to Joliet along I-80 west to LaSalle-Peru.

Illinois Largest Fall Festival with over 350 Vendors - The 2019 LaSalle County Burgoo Festival

Come enjoy one of Illinois largest and longest running fall festival, this weekend October 12-13 from 11am -6pm. The Burgoo Festival is back yet again with over 350 vendors. 

 

 

Established in 1969, the Burgoo Festival is an annual village street party featuring flea marketers, craftsmen, musicians and other entertainment. It is sponsored by the non-profit LaSalle County Historical Society. 

 

 

On Saturday, the weekend will kick off with over 100 vendors in and around the museum property. Stick around to check out the Utica Fire Department 7thAnnual car show. Registration will be $10 to enter. The first 100 cars to register will receive a dash plaque. 

 

 

As a part of the celebration on Saturday, you can also join the LaSalle County Historical Society for a special celebration. Tangled Roots Brewing Company has brewed a special “Burgoo Brew” for all to try. 

 

The local non-profit Cops 4 Cancer will be working the booth for tips to help with the great cause.

 

 

Help light the kettles and stir the burgoo stew! There will be celebrity stirrers and some historical figures helping to raise money. 

Then on Sunday. you can enjoy the famous Burgoo stew while you shop around. This event is for everyone. There will be children’s games to keep the kids entertained while you enjoy the live Blacksmith demos nearby. 

Throughout the weekend there will be live entertainment to enjoy, as well as a 50/50 raffle.
