Where is the Heritage Corridor?
The Heritage Corridor Convention and Visitors Bureau (CVB) encompasses the communities and counties along the historic 97-mile Illinois and Michigan Canal National Heritage Corridor. The Heritage Corridor spans from the Chicago Portage Area just southwest of Chicago to LaSalle-Peru including the counties of Will, Grundy, LaSalle and Putnam. The region conveniently located along I-55 from Chicago to Joliet along I-80 west to LaSalle-Peru.

BBQ, Blues, Ribs and Jazz – A Great Weekend Ahead in LaSalle, IL

The LaSalle Business Association has two great events this weekend, filled with great music and tasty food. BBQ-n-Blues kicks off on Friday, September 6, and Jazz’n the Street finishes the weekend on Saturday, September 7.

Friday’s BBQ-n-Blues kicks off at 7:00am, when the competing teams light up the grills and start cooking their masterpieces. They have until 6:00pm to turn in their entries. You can enjoy some great BBQ from vendors HAZE Smokehouse, Flo’s on Pulaski, Dog House in LaSalle, Ninth Street Pub, Lil’ Mad Café Gourmet Shop, LaSalle VFW, Grandma’s Rosie’s Woodfire on Wheels, Pigs-n-Heat BBQ.  

Written Warning takes the stage at 4:30pm, followed by Dave Fields (6:30pm) and Jimmy Nick & Don’t Tell Mama at 8:30pm. Steve Cerqua and Crossroads will be playing on the second stage at 6:00pm and 8:00pm. This event is family friendly, but please leave your pets at home. You can find out more about the event by visiting the event’s Facebook Page at https://www.facebook.com/events/1429220487279806/.

 

BBQ-n-Blues

Saturday’s Jazz’n the Street is full of great fun and the perfect way to close out your Saturday night. Great music, wine tasting, craft beer, cocktails, and delicious food vendors will fill up your night, topped off by fireworks at 10:00pm. 

On stage on Saturday will be the Wes Hausken Trio, Jack V. Miuccio, Gene-N-Tonics and more. Food vendors include Haze Smokehouse, Flo’s on Pulaski, Dog House in LaSalle, Ninth Street Pub, Lil’ MAD Café Gourmet Shop, LaSalle VFW, Zonta Club of LaSalle-Peru Area and Passini’s Wood Fired Pizzs! Similar to Friday, this is a family friendly event – but please leave your pets at home. Get more information at https://www.facebook.com/events/571760499958086/.
