The 164th Annual Bureau County Fair

The Bureau County Fair is back again this year for its 164th annual event that will begin Wednesday August 21st through Sunday August 25th. With special guest, Gary Alan performing on Thursday, you do not want to miss out. Gary is a well-known country singer that has won over fans, peers and critics with his modern-day outlaw look, yet signature blend of smoldering vocals, rebellious lyrics and raucous live performances.  His last album “Set You Free” topped the Billboards 200, as well as making it at the top of the Billboard Country Album chart. Since his very first album in 1996, he has since then released eight additional studio albums selling over 7 million albums. He has been certified platinum on three back -to-back albums and certified gold five times.

For the remaining days you can expect to engage in many different activities to enjoy with the family. This year they’ll have carnival straight from the Illinois State Fair, Livestock Shows, Horse Shows, Rodeo, Tractor and Trucks pull, Demi Derby, and so much more!

The Bureau County Fair is known to be the longest running fair in Illinois. Since 1855 this event has been the go-to place for people to meet up with friends and neighbors to experience some of the best exhibits and all-around fun for the entire family. However, the fairgrounds are still used throughout the rest of the year. You can find all kinds of events such as motorcycle swap meets, flea markets, wedding receptions and musical events.

The fair also has the Bureau County Fair Foundation which is an organization that helps enhance the event, to encourage the use of the fairgrounds by providing financial support.
