Where is the Heritage Corridor?
The Heritage Corridor Convention and Visitors Bureau (CVB) encompasses the communities and counties along the historic 97-mile Illinois and Michigan Canal National Heritage Corridor. The Heritage Corridor spans from the Chicago Portage Area just southwest of Chicago to LaSalle-Peru including the counties of Will, Grundy, LaSalle and Putnam. The region conveniently located along I-55 from Chicago to Joliet along I-80 west to LaSalle-Peru.

The NHRA Route 66 Nationals Speed Into Joliet - May 30 through June 2, 2019

That's not thunder you hear in the background, it's the best drag racers in the world getting ready for the NHRA Route 66 Nationals in Joliet.  John Force, Ron Capps, Antron Brown and Erica Enders-Stevents will be speeding down Route 66 Raceway in Joliet - The World's Premier Drag Racing Facility.

Four days of racing away, May 30 - June 2, where 10,000-horsepower machines will be tested to the max.  The rumble beneath your feet, the nitro in the air, and dragsters exceeding speeds of over 300 mph.  You can get a ticket for any day, or all four days of the intense racing action.

Thursday, May 30 - Dialed-In Thursday
Over 350 cars will make the way to the track, dialing in their cars for the best performance.  Kids 12 and under get in free on Thursday!

Friday, May 31 - Friday Night on FIRE
A night of nitro under the lights.  The sun goes down, as well as the times - just like in 2018 when we saw the fastest Funny Car field in history.  Pro Stock Motorcycle, Pro Stock, Funny Car and Top Fuel will all be dialing in their machines, putting on an unbelievable show!

Saturday, June 1 - All Star Saturday
Nitro and Pro Stock Qualifying cap off a unique and exciting day of racing. The best sportsman racers from all across the country converge on Route 66 Raceway to compete in JEGS All-Stars. The JEGS finals will preclude final Pro Stock and Nitro Qualifying.

Sunday, June 2 - Championship Sunday
Today's The Day. Who will take their place in the Winner's Circle? NHRA's top four classes vie for their respective Route 66 Nationals championships. Fans will be welcomed down to the racing surface after the event to watch the winners raise the coveted Wally trophies and celebrate!
