Sometimes You Need A Slice

What’s flat, baked like an open-faced pie, but yet savory and can add any topping you want? If you guessed pizza, then you’re right!

Pizza is a food that is so universal, and can be tailored to just about anyone. To satisfy your cravings, I want to share with you a few local favorites that will leave you with wanting more.

Gelsosomo’s Pizzeria & Pub located in Lemont, IL is a family-friendly place where you can come gather and celebrate life’s ordinary and extraordinary moments. Opened in 2014, this place has really made its mark on the Village of Lemont.

They have such a wide range of tasty foods to choose from, but the main draw is the pizza.

You can choose from a list of toppings you would like to add on top of your pizza. They also served deep dish pizza, which is my favorite way to enjoy a good slice!

Drop into Halftime Restaurant, Pizza and Cocktails in the Ottawa, IL and bite into a slice made from scratch with all the topping you can ask for. Their menu includes breakfast and a kid’s menu, so you have options for the entire family.

So many mouthwatering styles prepared for you such as BBQ Chicken, hawaiian, taco, gyro and veggie. You can also create your own masterpiece to enjoy.

Using the same recipes since opening in 1976, Cemeno’s Pizza is truly a Joliet favorite. From thin crust, thick crust and even gluten-free you can fulfill your cravings with this cheesy delight.

You can gather up the entire family and create memories in such a great atomophere. They are also perfect for a night out with friends, watching your favorite sport, or even business realted.

If you’re looking for a unique experience, check out Ike & Oak Brewing that does more than pour you a cold glass of beer. They are located in Woodridge, IL and also known for their artisan pizzas.

I thought I was creative by putting pineapples on my pizza. Well this place has found new ways to push their limits of creativity. If you enjoy Cajun flavors, then you can try their jambalaya pizza with Cajun-tomato sauce, chorizo, chicken, bell peppers and more to really get those taste buds dancing. Or try the pumpkin chorizo pizza with pumpkin mascarpone sauce, mushrooms, sage bacon jam, scotch bonnet chili honey and mozzarella.

There menue changes frequently that you will want to come back again, and again, and again!

If you prefer keeping it simple and sticking with the classics, then you will enjoy Maciano’s Pizza & Pasta. With many options to deliver, carry-out, dine-in, cater and even online ordering, there is no reason why you cannot try greatness.

Using the freshest ingredients, Maciano’s award-winning chefs create unforgettable flavors that will tempt anyone’s palate.

These are just a few favorites, so find your local pizza spot and enjoy an all-American favorite!
