Where is the Heritage Corridor?
The Heritage Corridor Convention and Visitors Bureau (CVB) encompasses the communities and counties along the historic 97-mile Illinois and Michigan Canal National Heritage Corridor. The Heritage Corridor spans from the Chicago Portage Area just southwest of Chicago to LaSalle-Peru including the counties of Will, Grundy, LaSalle and Putnam. The region conveniently located along I-55 from Chicago to Joliet along I-80 west to LaSalle-Peru.

2019 Liberty Arts Festival in Nostalgic Downtown Morris - July 18 to 20, 2019

The 5th Annual Liberty Arts Festival returns to charming downtown Morris, featuring musicians, vocalists, dancers, artists, theater, and much more!

Taking place from Thursday, July 18th through Saturday, July 20th, the Liberty Arts Festival will highlight all types of creativity:  music, dance, creative kid’s activities, and of course, lots of ART! Art Crawls, Train Rides, Face Painting, music performances, and chalking the streets of downtown Morris are just a few of the other fun activities planned for the festival.

On Friday, don't miss the Art Crawl, Adults can enjoy crafty cocktail samples while creating a progressive masterpiece at several of Morris’ creative outlets. Tickets for this adult-only event are just $25, which includes all supplies, beverages and a commemorative gift.  Families, don't miss a showing of The Lego Movie Part 2.

On Saturday, take part in the Art Walk. Taking place from 10am - 4pm, the Art Walk will literally be taking over the streets. Portions of Washington and Liberty streets will be closed to cars, and attendees can walk the streets while enjoying live music, food, art and more in the heart of downtown Morris! The Liberty Arts Festival will also feature a Creator’s Village on Friday at 11am, where kids of all ages can express their creativity with a variety of mediums.
