Where is the Heritage Corridor?
The Heritage Corridor Convention and Visitors Bureau (CVB) encompasses the communities and counties along the historic 97-mile Illinois and Michigan Canal National Heritage Corridor. The Heritage Corridor spans from the Chicago Portage Area just southwest of Chicago to LaSalle-Peru including the counties of Will, Grundy, LaSalle and Putnam. The region conveniently located along I-55 from Chicago to Joliet along I-80 west to LaSalle-Peru.

Old Canal Days in Lockport - June 13 to 16, 2019

Kick-off your summer with live music, great food, and family fun at Old Canal Days in Lockport

The annual Old Canal Days is back, taking place in the heart of downtown Lockport on Thursday, June 13th through Sunday, June 16th.  Don't miss 4 incredible days of fun, food, music, and entertainment for the whole family! The fest will also feature a carnival, craft show, parade, car show, live music, food vendors, and much more.

Lockport's Old Canal Days

The event kicks off on Thursday, June 13th with a FREE carnival for friends with sisabilities and their immediate family members, from 2-5pm. The carnival is open to the public from 5-11:30pm on Thursday and Friday, and 10am - 11:30 pm on Saturday, and 10am - 10pm on Sunday. The carnival will be located on Hamilton Street in the South Public Landing Parking Lot.

Old Canal Days - Carnival

The festival continues on Friday June 15th, with the annual parade beginning at 6pm on State Street. Grab a bite to eat at the food court, visit the beer garden or wine tent for your favorite beverage, and enjoy live entertainment all weekend long! Friday night’s music features Poison’s Crue from 7pm-9pm, and LAVA Rock from 9:30-11:30pm.  On Saturday June 15th, the fest will feature a car show, magic show, craft show, Gallery 7 exhibits, history exhibits, bingo, petting zoo, duck races, and more! Saturday’s music lineup includes The 815 at noon-3pm, Wind Gypsies at 4-6pm, The Ron Burgundy’s at 7-9pm, and Semple at 9:30-11:30pm. On Sunday, June 16th, the fest will feature a bean bag tournament, craft beer tasting, magic show, craft show, Gallery 7 exhibits, history exhibits and tours, and more!
