Where is the Heritage Corridor?
The Heritage Corridor Convention and Visitors Bureau (CVB) encompasses the communities and counties along the historic 97-mile Illinois and Michigan Canal National Heritage Corridor. The Heritage Corridor spans from the Chicago Portage Area just southwest of Chicago to LaSalle-Peru including the counties of Will, Grundy, LaSalle and Putnam. The region conveniently located along I-55 from Chicago to Joliet along I-80 west to LaSalle-Peru.

Celebrate the Life of Wild Bill Hickok at Wild Bill Days & Vendor Show - May 25 and 26, 2019

James Butler "Wild Bill" Hickok, one of LaSalle County's most notorious native sons, became one of America's most infamous Cowboy's in the Wild West. Join the LaSalle County Historical Society in celebrating the life of Wild Bill at this weekend-long event on May 25 and 26, 2019.

Don't miss live re-enactments by Old West Regulators will be from 1pm-4pm in the LaSalle County HIstorical Museum Parking Lot on Canal Street in North Utica, IL (minutes from Starved Rock State Park). The Special Deadwood Exhibit will be from 12pm-6pm on both Saturday and Sunday at the Heritage Center, 208 Clark Street. Also on Saturday and Sunday from 12pm-6pm, there will be a Craft/Vendor Show on Canal Street, near the re-enactments.

Walt Willey - Wild Bill Days in North Utica, May 25

On Saturday night at 7pm, All My Children’s Walt Willey presents "Wild Bill! A Night with James Butler Hickok" at the Canal Market Building, 210 Clark Street. Tickets are available for $25 each or $20 for LCHS members. Be sure to come celebrate Sunday with a night filled with music, games, and fun at the Wild Bill Bash Barn Dance from 6pm-11pm at the Canal Market, 210 Clark Street. Enjoy live bands, games, and adult beverages will be available for purchase.
