Where is the Heritage Corridor?
The Heritage Corridor Convention and Visitors Bureau (CVB) encompasses the communities and counties along the historic 97-mile Illinois and Michigan Canal National Heritage Corridor. The Heritage Corridor spans from the Chicago Portage Area just southwest of Chicago to LaSalle-Peru including the counties of Will, Grundy, LaSalle and Putnam. The region conveniently located along I-55 from Chicago to Joliet along I-80 west to LaSalle-Peru.

Get Your Tickets Now for the Ottawa 2 Rivers Wine Fest in Beautiful Downtown Ottawa

The Buddy Rich Band will headline the first of three amazing days at the 2019 Ottawa 2 Rivers Wine Festival in Ottawa, IL.  The event takes place from June 7-9, 2019, featuring exquisite Illinois wine, great jazz from seven amazing acts, and fresh lobster directly imported from Maine, and great jazz.

This will be the 9th year for the festival, which is a highlight during the summer in the Starved Rock State Park region.  The event is held in the Jordan Block of Downtown Ottawa, approximately 10 minutes from Starved Rock State Park.  The event is also popular with many in the Chicagoland region, especially with its 90-minute drive from Downtown Chicago.

The hours for the event are:

  • Friday, June 7 from 5pm to 10pm
  • Saturday, June 8 from 12pm to 10pm
  • Sunday, June 9 from 12pm to 5pm

Those wishing to attend can pre-purchase their tasting tickets and lobster redemption ticket at Ottawa2RiversWineFest.com. Online purchases are highly encouraged to reduce waiting times and to guarantee a lobster.

Eight wine & beer tasting tickets, purchased online in advance, are $20 for 8 tickets. These tickets are good for all three days of the festival and include a commemorative wine glass. On site, 6 tasting tickets can be purchased for $25. Additional beer and wine tasting tickets can be purchase at the festival ten

The Ottawa Noon Rotary imports fresh lobster from Maine and grills them on site. The fresh lobster is served with corn on the cob, pumpernickel bread and real butter.  A lobster dinner, purchased online in advance, costs $30 per dinner. Online ticket sales will end a few days prior to the start of the festival. A very limited number of “at the door” lobster dinners will be available for $35 per dinner.

The musical headliners for the fest include The Buddy Rich Band featuring Cathy Rich & Gregg Potter (Friday), Dee Alexander (Saturday) and Abigail Riccards (Sunday).  Also performing at this year’s festival is Sarah Marie Young (Friday), Hans Luchs (Saturday), Ethan Keller Group (Saturday),  and The Duet Book (Sunday).
