The Illinois Beer Festival - A Showcase of The Art of Beer

For one day, the Grundy County Fairgrounds becomes a showcase of a different type of art ... the art of beer.  The festival takes place on August 19, from 3pm - 8pm.

There is a lot of creativity in beer, and that creativity is becoming more apparently each day as the popularity of craft beer gets bigger and bigger.  We actully highlight this creativity in our showcase of 13 breweries in our area in a sister site known as the Heritage Corridor Ale Trail.

Over 40 breweries will be on site sampling their brews, including local and out-of-state brews.

5 members of the Heritage Corridor Ale Trail will be represented, including:

Other breweries that will be on site include:  Ballast Point, Angry ORchard, Brickstone, Coney Island Brewing Company, Lagunitas Brewing, New Belgium Brewing, Bent River Brewing Cmpany, Avery Brewing Company, Twister Tea, The Traveler Beer Company, Samuel Adams, Truly, Boulevard Brewing Company, Miskatonic Brewing Company, Bell's Inspired Brewing Company, Ace Cider, Magic Hat, Church Street, Emmett's, Magic Hat, Noon Whistle, River Hawk Brewing, Rolling Meadows, Shipyard, Southern Tier, Two Brothers, and Uinta Brewing Co.

The band Polysci will be performing at this year's fest. The band defines JamSoul, with their mix of jam-infused soul. Check out their video below.

Tickets for the event are $35 at their pre-sale rate, which includes 24 tasting tickets and a IBF sampling glass.
