A mid-1800’s architectural wonder helped make Chicago the city it is today.  The 96-mile Illinois & Michigan Canal (I&M Canal) connected the Great Lakes in Bridgeport, Chicago to the Illinois River at LaSalle-Peru, and amazingly unique towns sprung up that maintain their authentic charm to this date.

Joliet Area Histroical Museum Re-Opens Their Doors

Good news is coming next weekend, the Joliet Area Historical Museum is reopening their doors for weekends starting Friday, February 12th!
They will be reducing group sizes and staggering entry times. For the time being, all entry tickets will need to be purchased in advance by going here Joliet Museum Visit (peek.com). The staff is working hard to keep the museum clean and sanitized. There will be a couple of changes but the staff will greet you with a smile (through their mask of course!). 
They will be requiring all guests to wear masks and follow social distancing guidelines as well. But rest assured, your museum experience will be wonderful as always.
The museum will be open Fridays-Sundays from 10:00am-5:00pm. Please go to www.jolietmuseum.org for up to date information and changes.
