Mark has written many books, detailing the French and Native American history surrounding the Starved Rock region such as: “The History of Starved Rock,” “Starved Rock State Park,” “Massacre 1769: The Search for the Origin of the Legend of Starved Rock,” and more.

Uncover the mysteries and secrets that lie in the state park, while you hike to the top of Starved Rock to the Starved Rock Lodge and Conference Center.
