A 1 mile guided hike from the Ottawa Canyon parking lot on Route 71 east of the park to Council Overhang, Ottawa and Kaskaskia Canyon.

Discover the natural, geological, and historical beauty of Starved Rock State Park on this 1.5 hr guided hike by State Park Interpreter Lisa Sons to Ottawa and Kaskaskia Canyons. Hike will end at Kaskaskia Canyon. Hikers must dress appropriately with hiking boots for uneven trails, tree roots, muddy trails in areas, and a few shallow creek crossings. Hikers can follow interpreter back out after Kaskaskia Canyon or stay and hike on their own.
