Please note: Masks are required for all in-person, indoor and outdoor program participants, with the exception of those younger than 2 years old and those with a medical condition or disability that prevents them from wearing one, per state guidelines. Snow brings a certain magic to wintertime. Discover what makes it so unique and learn how amazing snowflakes really are. A brief presentation will be held, followed by an opportunity to discuss the many different ways we enjoy snow at home and in the preserves — all while sipping on fresh coffee! Conditions permitting, there will be a short walk of about 0.4 miles to explore some of our best winter views. Fee: Free! Age: Ages 55 or older. Registration required by Sunday, January 3, by calling 815.722.9470 or online: https://apm.activecommunities.com/.../senior-coffee.../7350 Please dress for the weather and use caution while walking outdoors as snow and ice may be present on paths and in parking lots. The program begins inside an accessible facility. If the weather cooperates, the program may then continue outside on a paved trail. Anyone who requires an auxiliary aid or service to participate in this program should submit a request online (https://www.reconnectwithnature.org/americans-with...) no later than 48 hours before the program.
