Please note: Masks are required for all in-person, indoor and outdoor program participants, with the exception of those younger than 2 years old and those with a medical condition or disability that prevents them from wearing one, per state guidelines. Bring your family outside! Hike through the woods along the Des Plaines River at Isle a la Cache preserve with a naturalist. At designated stops along the way, we'll pause to try our hand at fun wintertime activities. We might build snowmen, compete in Animal Olympics, play animal Simon says, discover the age of a tree, listen to bird calls or play fox and geese. We'll take advantage of this amazing season. This program is geared toward children 6-12 years old, but the entire family is welcome. Fee: Free! Age: All ages. (Children must be accompanied by a registered adult.) Meet inside Isle a la Cache Museum for a quick introduction. The outdoor activity will take place on natural surfaces across uneven terrain. Be prepared to walk 1.5 miles.
