Have you always wanted to know about birds and bird-watching but didn't know where to start? This program will teach you some basic techniques to help find birds and identify what you find using field guides and binoculars. The varied habitat at Isle a la Cache preserve makes it a great place for bird-watching. Part of the program will include a hike following the shores of the Des Plaines River in search of birds. Binoculars are recommended. Fee: Free! Age: Ages 13 or older.
