Monee Reservoir is a great place to look for birds that spend the summers in Will County. This hike will highlight birds that are starting to nest in the preserve. Birds are singing to establish territory, so it is a great time to learn bird songs. Bring your binoculars and favorite bird guide. New birders are welcome, as this is an excellent way to increase bird knowledge. Be sure to dress for the weather. Fee: Free! Age: Ages 16 or older. Registration required by Friday, June 2, by calling 708.946.2216 or online: https://apm.activecommunities.com/.../early-morning.../7563 Participants will enjoy a hike of 1.5 miles to 2 miles on paved and natural surfaces across uneven terrain. Anyone who requires an auxiliary aid or service to participate in this program should submit a request online (https://www.reconnectwithnature.org/americans-with...) no later than 48 hours before the program.
