KIDS CLUB: Color Field Painting

Teaching Artist Marisa Boyd was inspired by the book Women Artists A to Z by Melanie LaBarge. At the beginning of this class, Marisa will present a powerpoint about the artist including where they are from, images of their artwork, and describing their art process. Join us for an art class inspired by artist Helen Frankenthaler! Helen Frankenthaler was an American Abstract Expressionist painter that laid large pieces of canvas on the floor and began painting shapes of colors called Color Field Paintings. Each student will get their own larger piece of canvas and paint on the floor just like Helen Frankenthaler did! Ages 6 to 12 years old and all experience levels are welcome! Ages: Ages 6-12 Instructor: Marisa Boyd Date: Tuesday, May 11th 3:30-5PM Location: Open Space Art Gallery and Studios *COVID Precautions* Limited 10 Seats Available. Tables 6 Feet Apart.
