You must register by calling the number or emailing the email address below.*** Our volunteer workdays provide an opportunity for you to contribute to your community, support your local environment, meet fellow nature-lovers, and get some fresh air and exercise. All winter workdays will focus on removal of woody invasive species. Participants will be cutting and hauling invasive trees and shrubs. Brush pile burns may occur during these Habitat Management Mornings, so wearing old clothes that could get dirty or burnt is recommended. Please dress for outdoor work and the weather. Wear long pants, closed-toe shoes and work gloves. Age: All ages; youth are encouraged when accompanied by a parent or guardian An RSVP for the Forest Preserve District's volunteer workdays is required for all individuals and groups.
